Ms. Kristan has been tutoring my 8th grade daughter in her GSE Algebra 1 this 2020-2021 school year. As background, I have a Masters and Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and a minor in Mathematics yet still require the support of a math tutor for my daughter, for both our sanity. Ms. Kristan is naturally calming and patient, which is the exact opposite of how I am when I attempt to help my daughter with her Algebra homework. We started off with weekly in home tutoring. Ms. Kristan is punctual and respectful and works through whatever my daughter has questions on as well as helping her understand the next/upcoming standards. She’s reviewed for formatives and summative and recoveries. With the covid19 pandemic, Ms. Kristan did not miss a beat and switched into online/video tutoring mode seamlessly. Over the course of this year my daughter has maintained a mid-high B average and may even pull out an A depending on these last few weeks of digital learning. All in all, Ms. Kristan is reliable, professional, intelligent and kind. She’s just a gem and we are thankful and grateful for her support.
